I was responsible for taking outdoor areas from a very basic, mushy height map to final art and work with the asset creation team to develop the final look of the alpine biome. The job was a combination of level design and world building. During development I determined player paths, sculpted the terrain, created mountains with existing modular rocks, generated the metal hexagon pieces, then painted terrain textures and placed trees. Finally we did a detail pass, adding rock rubble, scree, and dirt decals to the metal hexagons to transition them to the terrain.
